During the Leicestershire Bowling Association Council meeting held
last Friday 25th February 2008, the President Bill Smith announced
the County's New Team Manager as Norman Burns and presented him with
his badge of office.
This appointment is a recall for Norman Burns, who has been
Leicestershire Team Manager before and has been quite successful in
taking the Leicestershire Middleton Cup team to several Quarter
Finals and a Semi-Final at Worthing, It was his personal request to
stand down two years ago, for family reasons.
The FGP Committee having due contacts and carried out interviews
with other applicants, it was unanimously agreed that we should
approach Norman Burns and asked for his consideration to the
position.
We were all delighted that he has accepted, with the full backing of
the President and all the Officers and members of the Leicestershire
Bowling Association.
