On Sunday holders Leicestershire play Cambridgeshire at Narborough with
a 3.00pm start in the National County two Fours. Leicestershire have to

9th May 2010
The game
against Hertfordshire was played on a very good green at Welwyn in poor
weather conditions but it didn’t seem to affect the bowling which was
at a high standard. Both teams got off to a good start but is was
Leicestershire just in front by one shot after five ends and three shots
up at ten ends but at fifteen ends Hertfordshire were two shots up and
looking confident that they could avenge last year’s defeat at Fordham
in the regional semi final. Eighteen ends and it was Leicestershire in
front by one shot after the Andy Irons rink picked up a five on the
eighteenth end. Over the last three ends the Irons rink won 3-1 and the
Hope rink won 4-1 for both rinks to finish three shots up.
Leicestershire now play Cambridgeshire at home in the next round by 15th
June with the winner going through to the Regional Finals.
