The Leicestershire Bowling Association was founded in
1921 and is affiliated to Bowls England.

PRESIDENTIAL
GREETING
It is a great honour for
me to have been asked to be your President and to accept the many
challenges that this brings. Why be President? I have been a club
bowler for twenty years and been club president on two occasions and
although it will undoubtedly be time consuming it was also an
opportunity to step out of my comfort zone to meet different but like
minded people who like myself want to promote our game where and
whenever we can to attract new members into our clubs.
Leicestershire Bowling
Association are a strong, successful and competitive county and my aim
among other things is to make sure we maintain these high standards and
principle and those of you that know me know that I will do my utmost to
see this is through.
We have a very strong
management team who work hard for our clubs and county and working
alongside them will give me a greater awareness of looking to the future
of our sport and the many changes that we will be undertaking.
I have to thank my club
Market Bosworth for their support for my presidency. We are a small
club with a big heart on the edge of the county and it is a great honour
for us to be able to play our part.
Being your president will
not always been an easy task but I shall meet any adversity with
understanding and commitment and by being approachable at all times.
I look forward to being
at as many games as possible during the season, whether playing or
watching, and to meeting as many of you as possible during my year of
office.
