The Leicestershire Bowling Association was founded in
1921 and is affiliated to Bowls England.

PRESIDENTIAL GREETING
Fellow bowlers, secretaries, delegates and friends
It was with great pride that I
accepted the honour of being your County President for the coming
season. I have long believed that this position is the pinnacle of many
years of hard work both on and off the green, whether it be playing the
game we all enjoy, or working behind the scenes at both club and county
level. I must thank my club, Loughborough Granby, for their support and
understanding over the past couple of years, and their continued support
for the season ahead.
Those of you that know me will
understand that I put 100% into whatever I do and those that don’t know
me will hopefully find that out during my term of Office. Commitment and
communication are, I believe, very important and I strive to ensure that
both are inherent in whatever I do.
There is no doubt that the LBA has
a dedicated committee working on behalf of all clubs and their members,
and I look forward to working alongside this committee and striving to
get a better awareness of our sport culminating in getting more people
into our game. We can all play our part in this, after all, most of us
came into the sport as a result of finishing playing football, cricket,
rugby etc. So, who do you know in that position, why not encourage them
to join you in a game of bowls?
Finally, there have been many great
Presidents of this association, and I look forward to following in their
footsteps, being myself, and enjoying the trials and tribulations that I
may face in the year ahead.
Have a healthy and successful
season and I hope to meet as many of you as possible either on or off
